Children
There’s always a welcoming place for children at Laguna Presbyterian Church.
From Weekly Sunday School and Summer Fun Like VBS and Club H2O, to Programs Like Homework Club 325 in the Fall, Children Are a Huge Part of LPC!
Sunday School Adventures
Preschoolers through 5th graders, join us in person each Sunday at 10:30am in the sanctuary for a blessing, and then on to Tankersley Hall for an interactive Bible lesson.
Nursery care is available for babies two and under during both the 9am and 10:30am services.
Our goal is to partner with parents and support one another any way we can. We want kids to be excited about God’s Word and to know and experience the love of Christ. Throughout the year, we invite you to join us for various family events and activities like seasonal Family Fun Nights and BBQs. We offer baptisms and have a special Bible presentation for Third Graders and other grade level milestones. If you are interested in baptism or future dates for our Bible presentation, please email Gail Onodera for information.
Also available are pre-recorded lessons to access at any time. Click on the button below.

Each Year, VBS Campers Participate in an Outreach Program That Generates Impressive Results!
Last year, Campers, families, members of our congregation, and friends of LPC raised $3,000 for our VBS 2025 outreach project, Operation Kid-2-Kid!
We set a goal of $800 to help provide warm clothing and blankets for children experiencing poverty in North America. We far exceeded the goal, raising $3,000! It is the largest donation generated to date for any VBS outreach project. This money will go to World Vision; and with the partnership they have with clothing manufacturers, this gift grows to $42,000!
THANK YOU! We are very grateful!
We would also like to thank the talent at South Shores Church, who constructed the wild and amazing True North set. This set not only blessed the children of LPC but is now making its way to Cornerstone Church and San Clemente Presbyterian Church.
We are truly thankful for the collaboration of these wonderful ministries. TRUST JESUS!
Vacation Bible School Is July 13-17!
This year's theme is Rainforest Falls, a rainforest wonderland where we will be exploring the nature of God and how much He loves all of His children!
VBS is a fun-filled, Monday-Friday day camp for children three years old through incoming 4th grade, where Tankersley Hall is transformed into an imaginative fantasyland.
The curriculum at VBS is structured in a way that keeps children (“campers”) engaged and active throughout each day’s events. Bible-learning adventures, teamwork-building activities, singing, dancing, cool science experiments, and numerous ways in which to make new friendships happen in settings that stretch the imagination and virtually take the children outside of Laguna Beach and into a tropical rain forest full of wonder and amazement!
Campers are encouraged to look out for “God Sightings” each day that help to strengthen their knowledge of who God is in a way that they can easily understand and appreciate. A Canopy Closing happens at 11:30am each day that reinforces what the campers have learned, and family members are encouraged and welcome to join. Each year, the campers also have an outreach project that helps instill in them the value of serving others who are less fortunate.
For more information about attending VBS — or helping as a volunteer — contact Gail Onodera. Be sure to register soon before VBS fills up. Click here to register.

Registration is now open for our annual Summer Beach Camp at Doheny State Beach. It will be a big splash!
