Experience How Faith Connects.

Molokai Service Trip — Students in 9th-12th grades have been visiting the island of Molokai on a uniquely transformational spring break service trip for over 20 years. Students partner in service with organizations like the Molokai Land Trust, as well as residents, to help foster stewardship of the land and assist in ways that are invaluable to both residents and their livestock. Each night there is a time for shared worship. Free time allows for visits to beaches and waterfalls where students explore God’s beautiful creation on this “most Hawaiian” of islands.

Christian Camps — Students have the opportunity to attend Christian camps like Forest Home, where they have an awe-inspired time in the mountains developing a deeper understanding and love of Christ through daily worship, teachings, and Christian fellowship. In addition, free time involves fun, adventurous activities like zip lining and snowboarding. All in all, the camps are a time to enrich existing friendships and form new friendships with LPC students, as well as those from other church groups.

Volunteer Opportunities Helping ChildrenChildren are an integral part of life at LPC, from Sunday School to Laguna Presbyterian Preschool. Each summer, Vacation Bible School is a highlight for around 200 children who attend LPC, as well as others throughout the community. We rely on student volunteers to join the fun and make VBS a huge success, from participating in games, music and dancing, to providing guidance with the VBS curriculum.  Club H2O is an annual Doheny State Beach camp, where students can participate in surfing, swimming, crafts, and fellowship while providing assistance and bonding with the children who attend.

Social Events and Outings — Seasonal events like Family Fun Nights, Hospitality Night, bowling, ice cream socials, and go kart racing are just a few of the other events that students are able to participate in throughout the year.

At LPC, we believe that nurturing spiritual growth through community worship and connection is essential for deepening one’s faith and fostering meaningful relationships. Student Ministries is one way that we do this!
